For Gabriela "Gabi" Bell, success was never just about building a business. It was about building opportunities for others.
As the spouse of an Air Force service member and the mother of four children, three with special needs, Gabi understood the unique challenges military families face. Frequent moves, changing duty stations, and family responsibilities often make it difficult for military spouses to pursue traditional careers, despite their education, experience, and ambition.
After earning degrees in mathematics and educational leadership, Gabi made the decision to step away from her own career to support her family. While that choice was meaningful, she also wanted her children to see that pursuing professional goals and serving your family could exist side by side.
That desire led her to the Dog Tag Fellowship Program.
Turning Experience Into Impact
The Dog Tag Fellowship equips veterans, military spouses, and caregivers with the education, mentorship, and entrepreneurial skills needed to build successful businesses while finding renewed purpose beyond military life.
During the fellowship, Gabi recognized an opportunity rooted in her own experience.
Having previously worked as a virtual executive assistant, she understood the flexibility that remote work could provide military spouses whose careers are often interrupted by relocation and military life. She also recognized that businesses increasingly needed reliable administrative support.
The result was OrganizedQ.
Building More Than a Business
OrganizedQ connects military spouses with meaningful, work-from-home opportunities as virtual executive assistants, allowing them to build careers without sacrificing the flexibility their families require.
What began as a business of one quickly grew into a thriving company.
Within its first year, Gabi expanded OrganizedQ into a team of twelve professionals, including fellow Dog Tag Fellowship alumni. Along the way, she created opportunities for other military spouses to pursue rewarding careers while supporting businesses, executives, and mission-driven organizations across the country.
Today, Gabi continues to grow her company while balancing the responsibilities of raising four children and caring for a busy household.
Her success demonstrates that entrepreneurship can create a ripple effect—one opportunity leading to many more.
Why This Story Matters
Gabi's story is about more than starting a business.
It illustrates what becomes possible when talented individuals are given the resources, mentorship, and confidence to pursue their ideas.
Military spouses possess remarkable resilience, adaptability, and leadership. Yet many face barriers to consistent employment because of the unique demands of military life.
Programs like the Dog Tag Fellowship help remove those barriers by investing in people first. They provide the tools, community, and support needed to transform experience into opportunity—not only for the individual, but for everyone they go on to serve and employ.
Investing in People Who Create Opportunity
Through the CAVU Impact Pledge, we dedicate 10% of the gross revenues generated by our CAVU Money Market Fund share classes and our Capital Markets Debt Capital Markets business to organizations that create lasting impact in the communities they serve.
Dog Tag Inc. is one of those organizations.
By empowering veterans, military spouses, and caregivers to become entrepreneurs and business leaders, Dog Tag is helping create stronger families, stronger businesses, and stronger communities.
Gabi's journey reminds us that when we invest in people, the impact extends far beyond one individual. It creates new opportunities, strengthens local economies, and inspires others to pursue what's possible.
