# The Three T’s of Meaningful Impact

- October 15, 2026

# **[![CAVUSeptember\_ThreeTsOfImpact](https://blog.cavusecurities.com/hs-fs/hubfs/CAVUSeptember_ThreeTsOfImpact.png?width=878&height=494&name=CAVUSeptember_ThreeTsOfImpact.png)](https://www.cavusecurities.com/)**

Meaningful impact is rarely created through a single action. It grows through sustained commitment, thoughtful partnership, and a willingness to contribute in the ways that are most useful. At CAVU Securities, we think about that commitment through three forms of giving: time, treasure, and talent.
Each plays a distinct role. Financial contributions can expand resources and create new possibilities. Volunteer service gives organizations additional hands and demonstrates personal commitment. Professional skills can help partners solve problems, strengthen programs, and pursue their missions more effectively.

Together, these three elements create a more complete approach to service. They move giving beyond a one-time transaction and toward long-term relationships grounded in shared purpose.

---

# Time: Showing Up Consistently

Time is one of the most personal resources anyone can offer. Volunteering requires people to step away from their regular responsibilities and be fully present for an organization, its mission, and the individuals it serves.

The value of time is not limited to the number of hours contributed. It is also found in consistency. Returning to support an organization allows volunteers to develop a deeper understanding of its work, build relationships with its team, and see how individual efforts contribute to a larger goal.
For employees, service can also make an issue more tangible. A mission described in a report takes on new meaning when someone participates directly, listens to the people involved, and experiences the organization at work. That understanding can strengthen empathy and reinforce a lasting personal commitment to giving back.

At CAVU, service is part of the culture we continue working to cultivate. Team members are encouraged to find ways to contribute in their own voices and connect with causes that are meaningful to them. When people are empowered to participate personally, service becomes more than a company initiative. It becomes part of how they lead and live.

# Treasure: Providing Reliable Financial Support

Nonprofit organizations need dependable resources to plan, operate, and grow. Financial support can help fund programs, expand access, invest in staff and infrastructure, or respond to needs as they arise.

Through the CAVU Impact Pledge, CAVU dedicates 10% of gross revenues from the CAVU Money Market Fund Share Classes and the Capital Markets DCM business to its Impact Partners. Building this commitment into the way the firm does business creates a direct connection between financial activity and community impact.

The structure matters because it makes giving intentional and repeatable. Rather than treating philanthropy as an occasional response, it establishes support as part of the firm’s operating philosophy. As the business grows, the opportunity to contribute can grow with it.
Treasure is most effective when paired with trust. Organizations closest to the work often understand best where resources can create the greatest value. Long-term partnership means listening to those organizations, respecting their expertise, and supporting their priorities rather than assuming what they need.

---

# Talent: Sharing Skills and Experience

Every professional develops knowledge that may be valuable beyond the responsibilities of a job. Strategic thinking, financial insight, communications, mentorship, operational planning, and relationship-building can all become forms of service when shared thoughtfully.

Contributing talent allows individuals and firms to support an organization in ways that complement financial giving and volunteer work. It may mean advising on a specific challenge, mentoring someone as they build confidence, helping strengthen a process, or connecting an organization with people who can advance its mission.

The goal is not to arrive with all the answers. Effective skills-based service begins by listening and understanding where expertise would genuinely be helpful. When offered with humility, talent can help partners build lasting capacity while ensuring they remain in control of their own direction.

---

# A Partnership, Not a Transaction

Time, treasure, and talent are most powerful when they work together. A financial contribution may make an initiative possible. Volunteer participation can bring that initiative to life. Shared expertise can help it become more sustainable. Each reinforces the others.

This approach also strengthens relationships. Consistent engagement creates opportunities to learn from Impact Partners, understand how their needs evolve, and identify additional ways to support their work. It replaces one-directional giving with partnership and mutual respect.

CAVU is proud to support organizations whose missions align with the firm’s commitment to service, opportunity, and long-term impact. Just as importantly, we are grateful for what those organizations teach us about leadership, resilience, and community.

---

# Building Impact Into the Business

Giving back has the greatest potential when it is not treated as separate from the organization’s identity. By building service into its strategic mandate, CAVU reinforces impact in its decision-making and creates more opportunities for employees to participate.

No single contribution will solve every challenge. But consistent actions can add together. An hour volunteered, a financial commitment honored, or a skill shared at the right moment can become part of something much larger.

That is the promise of the three T’s. Time demonstrates presence. Treasure provides resources. Talent expands what is possible. When all three are offered with intention and sustained through genuine partnership, they can help create impact that lasts.
